“angles of attack” release day.

“Angles of Attack”, the third novel in the Frontlines series, is officially out and available for purchase. Those of you who pre-ordered the book should either get it delivered today (if you ordered the physical print or audio copies), or have it on your Kindelmaschines already.

“Angles of Attack” is available via Amazon in Kindle, paperback, and audio formats here:

Go buy! Go read! And leave a review if you are so inclined. In the meantime, I am going to try and get some more work done on Frontlines #4, “Chains of Command”, instead of obsessively checking the Amazon sales ranking every five seconds while stress-binging on Nutella straight from the jar. NOT THAT I’VE EVER DONE THAT.

  1. Audible pre-order just downloaded! Yay! Thank you sir. Cannot wait to finish The Wind-up Girl so I can get stuck into Angles of Attack

  2. Great! A paperback copy already on its way to Madrid! (hopefully the translation won’t be far behind…)

  3. Pre-order popped this morning. Excited … oh, and let us know how the sales rank / nutella thing works out too, please :-)

  4. I just checked Amazon this morning, and it says my dead tree edition should be arriving on April 28, not today. NOOOOOOO!

Oh look, kindle edition. Crisis averted.

  5. Magically appeared in my kindle app from pre-order. Next on list after I finish current book.

  6. Read the first 5% or so… not what I expected! Looking forward to finishing this on a plane ride tomorrow.

  7. I hate it when Amazon actually does what it promised! Yes I received my pre order too

  8. Just finished Terms of Enlistment, gave it a five star review, then immediately ordered the second one. Will grab the third as soon as I’m finished. Excellent work, sir. Thank you.

  9. In anticipation of the release of Angles of Attack, I re-read Terms of Enlistment and Lines of Departure over the weekend.. AoA was on my Kindle when I woke up and I have been sneaking some time in already. Looks like another winner!

And the latest Amazon sales stats are:

Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #66 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

#1 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Literature & Fiction > Genre Fiction > War
#1 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Science Fiction > Military > Space Marine
#1 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Science Fiction > Alien Invasion

    Congratulations Marko.

    • Marko is just going to have to write quicker.. I finished his new book last night. I am surprised that there isn’t a prepayment on Kindle for his next book. :-)

  10. There went a good chunk of my afternoon!
Thanks for the Horatius on the Bridge quote. I’ve had a fondness for that poem since grade school when I memorized it for class.

And when I finish Angles I have to wait for the next tone. I want a small time machine to advance order through.

  11. As a truck driver, this couldn’t have shown up in my Audible library at a better time. Can’t wait to read/listen to it. I’ve got a loooong haul tomorrow, this is just what the doctor ordered.

  12. Just finished AoA.

Another great book and well worth the wait. I definitely didn’t see everything coming. A lot of sacrifices made in this one. Cannot wait for your next book.

Also, I like the tie in with your short stories at the end. I don’t want spoil anything, but well done.

  13. I just finished “Lines of Departure”, but now I am away from home for a week, so I can’t get another fix for a week. Woe is me! I’m really looking forward to seeing where the storylines go now.

Are you attending Sasquan, and perhaps available for autographs any time?

    • I’ll be at Sasquan. I’ll check with 47North and see if they can organize something. Otherwise you can always look me up on the con floor, and I’ll gladly sign whatever you want signed.

  14. “It’s not going to take you more than five minutes.”

FUCK YES. I love you, Marko. :)

I’m sure some people would call it stupid but fuck it, this is all of the right buttons on me, pushed. I am actually wiping the tears from my eyes to be able to type this, and this is why I was perfectly happy to nominate you (sorry if I’m mentioning taboo subjects) and why I will be happy to nominate you again next year.

  15. Bought it, and then found that I had somehow missed a couple short stories set in the series. Amazon gave me a nudge on the overlooked stories, so I bought and read them last night. Hmm, I need a thumbs up icon.

  16. Tore through my copy far too quickly. First series in a long time where I eagerly anticipate the new release.

  17. 2 am. Just finished. Great book. Love fallon and Dmitry.well done! Going to bed…¦-)

  18. Conrgatulations! I’m going to grab AoA in a week or so, but in the meantime I just got Measures of Absolution and I’m reading that right now. Nothing like solid world-building and sympathetic characters. I remember when those were the rule, not the exception.

  19. Marco,

I just wanted to say I only heard about you because of the SP/RP drama and thought you’re withdrawing was a classy thing.

Then I looked up your works on Amazon and have to say I am a fan–I’ve gotten (and enjoyed) all 3 Frontlines books. Doing the right thing doesn’t always get rewarded, but in this case you gained a fan and 3 sales. Looking forward to the next one.

    Thank you.

  20. Excellent book :-)

Now just got to wait for the fourth one :-(

Any idea of release date for “Chains of Command”?
